Overview Ceet Fouad, 習福德, 习福德

Ceet Fouad, 習福德, 习福德 Born in 1971 in Oran, Algeria then beginning his early childhood in Toulouse, France where Ceet would begin his journey into his artistic imagination of his signature chicken design. Ceet's chicken humanizes deep emotions and personalities through his joyful harmonious colors which portrays a profound meaning that criticizes modern day society as bringing up 'followers', afraid to stand out as individuals and be yourself going unconventional. Ceet also uses his chicken to depict his personal experiences and thoughts, as well as giving an ironic remark on the social phenomenon that people always go with the tide without any personal characteristics.

In 2003, Ceet would start scribbling visual images as a way of communication which soon evolved to a deeper connection of his experiences in the densely populated world where he felt that he was being one of the chickens in the masses. Ceet paints vibrant "Chicanos", small bubbly chickens of various colors that serve as a parody of us living in this dull modern world overcrowded with humans that are stripped of their imagination.

As a prolific artist, Ceet has experimented with a variety of media to achieve his high characteristic level of quality, using acrylic, oil paint, pen, marker, metal paint, and spray can which he is most familiar with. The result of this leads to a richly textured and saturated surface that successfully portrays emotions of endearment and joy in his vibrant canvases.

Ceet's presence is well known internationally in contemporary art shows and has worked alongside recognised brands including Prada, Loewe, Lancel, Fila, Mcdonalds, Adidas and W Hotel which serves as a testament to his hard work and well deserved place in the international art scene. Ceet continually receives invitations every year from all over the world to exhibit in galleries spanning from 4 different continents: Asia (Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Malaysia); Europe (Spain, UK, Denmark, Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Poland); Africa (Morocco) and the US (NYC, LA, Miami).
